Office of the School Counselor

Ms. Leyda Mercado has extensive experience as Guidance Department chair, school counselor, and coordinating summer school services and other enrichment programs. Her dedication to child advocacy has been proven for the past 25 years working toward student-focused learning environments, helping students improve their study habits, and identify career interests. She also works with reasonable accommodations and coordinates other student services like tutoring, supervised studies, childcare, and the after-school program.
